UKCA (United Kingdom Conformity Assessed) Marking - 2021

Posted by Nathan Pammenter on 3 years ago

The UK has left the EU and the transition period after Brexit came to an end last year on the 31st December 2020.

The UKCA marking is a new UK product marking that will be used for goods being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It covers most goods which previously required the CE marking, including products sold by P&P Safety Ltd.

From 1st January 2021 until 31st December 2021 is a transition period during which products bearing the CE mark only may still be made available on the market.

From 1st January 2022 the CE marking will not be recognised in Great Britain. However, a product bearing the CE marking will still be valid for sale in the UK so long as it is also UKCA marked.
